Fees and refunds
A worked example
Example only — actual fees will be displayed before payment.
- Worker payment
- £100.00
- ReadyHands service fee
- £8.00
- Total authorised
- £108.00
The worker will receive £100.00 when the work is successfully completed and approved under the ReadyHands completion process.
ReadyHands does not charge the same fee for every assignment. Everyday tasks, standard work and skilled or verified work each have their own fee level, minimum and maximum.
See ReadyHands fee levelsHow the fee works
- The person posting work pays the ReadyHands service fee.
- The worker sees the amount they are expected to receive.
- The ReadyHands fee is shown before payment.
- ReadyHands keeps its service fee only when work is successfully completed, subject to the final policy.
- Fee percentages are not hidden.
- Optional charges are never added automatically.
- There is no separate charge for choosing to pay by card.
Refund situations
If nobody applies
If nobody applies and the payment has only been authorised, ReadyHands will normally cancel the authorisation.
If nobody is selected
If no applicant is selected, the payment authorisation may be cancelled or a captured payment refunded according to its payment status.
If no work takes place
Where no payable work is completed under the ReadyHands Refund Policy, the worker-payment amount and ReadyHands service fee will normally be returned.
Non-recoverable processing cost
If a payment has already been captured, the payment provider may retain certain processing costs. Where legally permitted, ReadyHands may deduct only the actual third-party processing cost it cannot recover. ReadyHands does not add a profit margin to this deduction. The estimated treatment will be shown before payment and the refund statement will explain any deduction. No deduction will be made where the law requires a full refund.
Final payment, cancellation, refund and dispute terms will be confirmed before live payments are activated.
